PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. —A dispatcher with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is facing disciplinary action after being observed playing a handheld video game on Oct. 21 while on duty, according to a disciplinary investigation.

Communications Training Officer Charles M. Morris has received a formal written reprimand following a review of his pending calls that showed that several calls for service were holding with deputies available to take them.
In one such instance, a hit-and-run incident in Lake Park was held for 40 minutes before being dispatched, the report said.
